Illustrations/Paintings

Even though most of my work is digital, I still enjoy perfecting my craft and working with physical art such as  drawing and painting. I've worked with a range of mediums, including watercolor, pastel, charcoal, oil paints and graphite. My favored medium to work with is acrylic paint, because it allows for easy layering on my paintings. I can also use a small color palette and an infinite variety of colors and values thanks to the media's mixability. I am inspired by the visual artists Dimitra Milan, Tahlia Stanton and Stephen Bauman. Each of these painters uses the human form and portraiture in their work. I also admire their work's surrealistic qualities. I prefer using the human body in my own art as well. Through the use of color and design, I hope to emotionally engage viewers so that they feel as though they are experiencing the emotions of the person displayed in my artwork.
